Lena: Mummy, I want cereal.
Me: Please.
Lena: Please. I want honeys. I want honeys.
Me: Honeys?
Lena: Honeys! I want HONEYS.
Me: Oh, Honey Bunches of Oats...?
Lena: Honey munches a boat.
Me: No, Ho-ney bun-ches of oats.
Lena: (indignantly) Yes. Honey munches a boat. Right.
Hahaha. I love it.
ReplyDeleteGet it right mom! She is such a cutie!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Hannah! Wow - 17 months! I didn't realize they were that close! I have to ask, do your two share a room?? Ours will have to, at least after the new one grows out of the bassinet in our room. And when did you move Lena out of a crib? Thank you!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes. They share a room. We actually never had either of our kids in a bassinet. We had Lena move out of her crib and into a toddler bed about two month before Oliver was born. We dismantled the crib, and then put it up again in our room once Oliver was born. By that time Lena had forgotten that the crib used to be hers. I don't remember exactly when Oliver moved into Lena's room, but it must have been at about 4 or 5 months old. It only took a day or two for Lena to realize that waking up her brother was not a good idea. They play occasionally, but most of the time they know that being in their beds means bed time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything! I found it tough work with two young ones, but now that they are both older they are absolutely the best of friends. I attribute that to them being so close in age. It will be awesome!
